Chaotic behavior of a Watt-type predator–prey system with impulsive control strategy

چکیده
In this paper, by using theories and methods of ecology and ODE, a predator–prey system with Watt-type functional response and impulsive perturbations on the predator is established. It proves that there exists a locally asymptotically stable prey-eradication periodic solution when the impulse period is less than some critical value, otherwise, the system can be permanent. Further, by using the method of computer simulation, the influences of the impulsive perturbations on the inherent oscillation are investigated, which shows the more complex dynamics of the system we considered, such as quasi-periodic oscillation, narrow periodic window, wide periodic window, chaotic bands, period doubling bifurcation, symmetry-breaking pitchfork bifurcation, period-halving bifurcation and crisis, etc. It will be useful for studying the dynamical complexity of ecosystems. 2006 Elsevier Ltd. Stability analysis of a fractional order prey-predator system with nonmonotonic functional response
In this paper, we introduce fractional order of a planar fractional prey-predator system with a nonmonotonic functional response and anti-predator behaviour such that the adult preys can attack vulnerable predators. We analyze the existence and stability of all possible equilibria. Numerical simulations reveal that anti-predator behaviour not only makes the coexistence of the prey and predator ...
متن کاملImpulsive perturbations of a three-trophic prey-dependent food chain system
The dynamics of an impulsively controlled three-trophic food chain system with general nonlinear functional responses for the intermediate consumer and the top predator is analyzed using Floquet theory and comparison techniques. It is assumed that the impulsive controls act in a periodic fashion, the constant impulse (the biological control) and the proportional impulses (the chemical controls)...
متن کاملExtinction and Permanence of a Three-Species Lotka-Volterra System with Impulsive Control Strategies
A three-species Lotka-Volterra system with impulsive control strategies containing the biological control the constant impulse and the chemical control the proportional impulse with the same period, but not simultaneously, is investigated. By applying the Floquet theory of impulsive differential equation and small amplitude perturbation techniques to the system, we find conditions for local and...
متن کاملDiscretization of a fractional order ratio-dependent functional response predator-prey model, bifurcation and chaos
This paper deals with a ratio-dependent functional response predator-prey model with a fractional order derivative. The ratio-dependent models are very interesting, since they expose neither the paradox of enrichment nor the biological control paradox. We study the local stability of equilibria of the original system and its discretized counterpart. We show that the discretized system, which is...
متن کاملDynamics of an ecological model with impulsive control strategy and distributed time delay
In this paper, using the theories and methods of ecology and ordinary differential equations, an ecological model with an impulsive control strategy and a distributed time delay is defined. Using the theory of the impulsive equation, small-amplitude perturbations, and comparative techniques, a condition is identified which guarantees the global asymptotic stability of the prey-(x) and predator-...
